HELENA SHORE
About Me.
If it was 2013 again, in my 2nd grade classroom, and you were sitting at an uncomfortable desk chair watching a class of 20 children perform a jumble of fairytales, I take it that the little girl dressed as a cow with only one line, "moo", would be the last on your list of future actors. I was always the artist of the class, the doodler, the one everyone turned to when a project involving visuals was announced. As the years went on, I discovered that my love of art and writing stemmed from a love of storytelling. Then, it all clicked.

I act to share a couple of lives out of the billions to have existed. I act to see the eyes of children light up with excitement for life. I act to give humans the gift of empathy, to be the maker of shoes for people to step into. Finally, I act because it gives me a chance to step into the life of another, to escape, but to still be my own person through it all.
